Blocking is magic!

I have not made any shawl before the Birch, and I have not done much blocking.
Yesterday I finely did block the Birch-shawl. I was not shore that I did it "right", and that it would look alright. But the result was amazing! And it is a lot bigger :-)

Regia-socks that is meant to be a pair, but they don't look quite the same. But I bet there will be some warm feets inside them. Posted by Hello

Hello Kitty is finished

Here it is

Thursday, May 19, 2005

My first Regia-sock.
That is - I did make one that turned out to be too small.
This sock-pattern is great, giving a perfect fit!
I used the pattern in "the knitters handy book of patterns".
This book have been very useful.Posted by Hello

Yes, I am still knitting. But it's been rather slow lately. A lot of things to take care of...My daughters Hello Kitty top is almost finished. It's not been easy...I have been knitting and ripping, and knitting and ripping...Certainly I have found my weak spot in knitting: motif's!!! Posted by Hello

Svale from Dale and Summer Tweed from Rowan. Posted by Hello

Making swatches!

Yes, it's not the most fun part of knitting, but it deffenetly pays off.
I have been making a swatch from the Summer Tweed (Rowan) and Svale (Dale of Norway).
The first one is the tricky part, and I still don't know what size needles to use and what pattern to choose.
